Just thinking out loud....
A new Pope has been selected in Rome. Now let me see if I got this right.......
After 50+ years of service to the church, mankind and the countless hours of sacrifice as a priest.
That is not enough to erase the stigma of being a 12 year old in Hitler's Germany in 1939.
For which Joseph Ratzinger had "ZERO" control or influence on the events of his life.
It seems not, according to liberals worldwide. This is not enough of a change to warrant his
elevation to this post. If what I read in the stories found in newspapers from American,
England and the Internet is correct.

So to all you liberals out there, if this is not enough then why do we have parole for criminals?
Is contrition only truly acceptable when a person becomes a liberal?

Actually, this is just a classic example of the hypocrisy of liberals. For really only a hypocrite
would state the above and only a rube would not notice it.

First, you tell the rube "it's a simple game, just follow the Queen".

Gregoire softens stance on possible tax reform on both the issues of an income tax and gas tax
increases, campaign spokesman Morton Brilliant said, "The public won't even entertain the idea
of increased revenue until faith in government is restored."

Gregoire campaigned on a loosely worded no-new-tax platform, saying that the state is just
pulling out of recession and shouldn't be raising taxes. But she didn't -- and still doesn't -- rule
out a tax increase.

Second, you let the rube think that he/she has a chance.

OLYMPIA ? Gov. Christine Gregoire's office yesterday released details of a possible no-new-tax
budget that includes cutting health care to thousands of low-income adults, suspending new
payments to reduce class sizes and freezing enrollments at colleges and universities.
"These are the things that would be in a no-tax budget," Moore said. "She asked me what a
no-tax budget would look like, and this is what we've shown her."

Finally, you take the rube for all you can...........

Gas tax, now 28 cents per gallon, would be increased 9.5 cents over four years - by 3 cents this
summer, another 3 cents next summer, 2 cents the following year and 1.5 cents in 2008.
Package also includes new weight fees on cars and passenger trucks, higher driver's license fees
and tolls. "a new vehicle weight fee would add $10 to the annual car-tab fee." "Owners of SUVs
and other heavy vehicles.... would pay $20 or $30 in weight fees."

Add to it the new Tobacco and Estate taxes.
http://www.kingcountyjournal.com/sited/story/html/201960
Add to that the repeal of a voter approved initiative (I-601), you are just seeing the beginning
of the new taxes to be levied on the Washington state taxpayer.

So to all the rubes in Washington, who actually voted for the Democrat's and Gregoire, you are
getting what you deserve. The rest of us can only hope, that this latest King County "ballots
from thin air" revelation will convince the courts of the "negligence" of the last election. And
force a new election which removes Gregoire before she forces an income tax on us.

Is it me, or is it getting cold in here?
Hell must have started freezing over. read:
http://www.arkansasnews.com/archive/2005/04/11/JohnBrummett/319855.html
First off, Howard Dean stated "We need to talk about Christian values and how they're Democratic
values". And which values are those? It's not abortion or gay marriage, the staples of today's
Democratic Party.

Then he later states that Democrat's should back off on the gun control issue.
"Guns aren't an issue," he said. "If Philadelphia wants gun control, fine. If Alabama doesn't, also fine."

In plain speech, what Howard Dean is telling Democrat's to do is lie.
Do not admit what you believe in, let the press give you a pass on issues that Democrats have
lost nation wide. That way you can pull in the swing voters and possibly win the race.

But he is not being helped by John Kerry, who continues to ply the broken record that Republican's
STOLE the last election. By stating to CNN :
http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/04/10/kerry.votes.ap/index.html

"Leaflets are handed out saying Democrats vote on Wednesday, Republicans vote on Tuesday.
People are told in telephone calls that if you've ever had a parking ticket, you're not allowed to vote," he said.

This story was first published in The Onion, See:
Republicans Urge Minorities To Get Out And Vote On Nov. 3

election, Republican Party officials are urging blacks, Hispanics, and other minorities to make...

Now for those of you who do not know, the Onion is a satirical paper In other words, this is like
quoting John Stewart of Comedy Centrals "The Daily Show". Of course, as a blogger "if" I did
this, people like JB would spent the next few months reminding me and anyone coming to this
blog "what a fraud" I am.

Liberals just can not take it.
JB,
You are a perfect example of why liberals are not to be allowed to be in control of our government
or scientific communities. You ask me if I knew what "predominant" meant, I gave you an online
dictionary version of the definition. But like most words, "predominant" has more than 1 definition.
I tried to let you know that I was using the second definition, [adj] "most common".
You asserted that because of its percentage (JB) ".036% (CO2) still ain't "predominant".
You are intentionally missing the point that I was making that CO2 is a "common" gas in our atmosphere.
But since that does not support your contention your response was:
"Don't bother responding any further..........you're an IDIOT. I'll not be back. (JB)".
I now know, that you can not be expected to debate any issue that does not fit your "world view".

Being skeptical is the hallmark of "scientific method", but while you demand I cite sources for my
facts, you refuse to do the same. My main assertion is there is "dogma" put out by the "global warming
is man's fault" crowd. So if you do not trust my facts. Maybe you will believe the Discovery Channnels
special called "ICE". But then again, it does prove that climate change happened without man's interference.

Oh, so having it go to the correct committee is bad
You know if you can not get the bill the correct committee, do not submit it.
"Democrats and Gay Rights supporters tried to subvert the process" is what the headline should read.
See KOMO 4 article http://www.komotv.com/stories/36146.htm

Only in America, is making the politicians follow the rules is "stall tactics".
Now routing the bill through the Financial Institutions, Housing & Consumer Protection
Committee is good for checking its affect on those government services. But to not run the bill
through the Judiciary Committee is irresponsible. If only to check for the potential liability the
bill would set the state government (you know, the taxpayers) up for.

So now, it looks like the bill faces certain doom. Well, DUH. I find it funny how often the party
who say "you can't legislate morality", continues to try and do just that in the name of "fairness".

Like yelling fire in a crowded movie house............
For the Chicken Little types out there, no you are not going to die.
But this is the take you get from the article published in today's (4/4) Seattle PI.
http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/apus_story.asp?category=1110&slug=Wildfire%20season

Bad wildfire season feared in West
By ANGIE WAGNER, ASSOCIATED PRESS WRITER
It was a dry, warm winter across the Northwest, with experts in some areas saying they can't remember
the last time the snowpack was this low. It was just the opposite in the Southwest, with record winter
rainfall that flooded deserts and caused murderous landslides."

To be blunt, BULL. There was far higher fire hazards in 1986-88. The fires in Yellowstone park alone
burnt approximately 1.5 million acres in 1987, it was the 6th year of drought in a row.
Please read the USGS report on drought.
http://www.fsa.usda.gov/drought/Report/Report.pdf#search='1988%20Emergency%20Drought%20Relief'
And Angie didn't any of your "experts" ever read about the "Dust Bowl" years in the 1930's?

Now, there is an increased fire hazard to the southwest states like Arizona and California. But that is because
they received far more rainfall than normal and have the additional plant life to prove it. So yes, when
it finally dries out this summer. They will have a higher fire hazard than normal but it will not be due to drought.

When will it end......
Another 87 ballots were reported found by the King County election board on March 24, 2005.
See Seattle Times story: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2002228539_ballots02m.html

That is only 142 days after the election was held.

But remember, this was one of the best run elections according to Ron Sims.

More on gay marriage
Childless heterosexual couples and marriage? First of all, the is a great difference between "do not intend" and
"incapable". That said, about 1% of all heterosexual couples are genetically unable to have children.
But 100% of homosexual couple are genetically unable to have children without outside intervention.
I believe the current scientific premise explaining propagation of a species is called the "Theory of Evolution".
Our society currently does not allow people of a similar genetic backgrounds (IE: direct family members to
first cousins) to marry because of the deleterious effects found in the offspring produced.

Now for the history, please look at the lineage for the Royal family in Great Britain. The Hanover line ascended
to the throne after the previous lineage (Stuart) was unable to produce an heir. This is only one example,
but you will find this as a recurring theme throughout history of Great Briton, France, Germany, Nigeria,
India, etc. At no time has the Stuart's marriage been considered invalid by the state or the church. But
this couple's fate had an effect on history, obviously negative for the Stuart's, but one whose ripples
are still felt today. Marriage has been the glue in successful societies.

If you delve into the history deeper, you will find several Monarch's who went to extremes to "preserve
the family line". In order to do that, some people were put to death. This was done to sanctify the following marriage
in the eyes of the church and nation at that time in history. (NO, I do not condone these actions but it is what happened.)
